Sited along the banks of Tumbling Creek at the eastern edge of the University Heights Enterprise zone, Tuscana Luxury Apartments stand as a pleasant reminder of northern Italy’s architecture. Consisting of forty-one apartments the residents enjoy a vast array of authentic Italian features including bougainvillea-laden arbors, creek views shimmering with dappled sunlight, a courtyard canopied with crepe myrtles, a warm gathering space centered around the seductive glow of a glass fire pit and a formal lawn perched high above the creek for recreating or relaxing in the sun.

These Old World influences from the renaissance of architecture that was conceived along the western Mediterranean are evident in the detailing of Tuscana. Hand-laid stone and brick in the weathered palette of Tuscany lend a quiet, confident character to the development. Rough-hewn rafter tails and trellises add to the rustic yet refined quality of the spaces. Ornamental ironwork frames each of the many balconies, further enhancing the attention to detail in paying homage to generations of Tuscan craftsmen.

Creating Luxury

The interiors continue this theme with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances gourmet kitchens, oversized living areas, balconies…and modern amenities such as dedicated high speed internet ports and beverage coolers to chill that bottle of wine. Trimark Properties selected a team of local professionals for this design. The civil engineering services were provided by Causseaux Hewett & Walpole, the landscape design services were provided by Buford Davis + Associates, the architectural design services were provided by Skinner Vignola McLean, and the interior designs services were provided by Personal Interiors by Sally Thompson. The general contractor was FaverGray of Jacksonville Beach.
